This is a personal story that I want to share with you.
Over 50 years ago, in Australia in the mid-1960s, I contracted Japanese encephalitis from a wayward mosquito. The ailment is a rare but serious infection of the brain caused by a virus. Most of those who contracted this virus in the 60s did not survive.
I was in a coma for several weeks, after which I had to endure a 6-month hospital stay. I still recall snippets of my stay in hospital, but due to the virus my memory was virtually wiped, and brain functions and physical movements were severely damaged. I was discharged as a wheel chair bound non-communicative and speech affected child of 5 years of age, with a morbid message from the attending physician to my Mother that I would likely be a vegetable for the rest of my short life, which was estimated at 20 years at the best.
My Mother took those words as a challenge, and through her unwavering emotional strength, fantastic support from my siblings and Father, and some unique and alternate approaches, I finished school and graduated University, completed a Master’s degree, learned a foreign language, traveled extensively, and became singularly focused on non-Western medicine and other natural ways to pursue good health.
I was fortunate to meet two wonderful acupuncturists in Australia in my 20s, spend most of my late 20s and most of my 30s and 40s in Japan, and now reside in Thailand. My Wife, who learned much about ‘living off the land’ and natural plant treatments from her Mother when they lived in abject poverty in the hills of North-east Thailand during her childhood, has shared some amazing stories with me.
We now try to ensure our children understand that natural is best, and what is more we take great delight in sharing our range of SANUSq brand products with you, our valued customer.
Naturally birthed in 2017 from a goal I had since my early years, the SANUSq brand was created to provide our customers with natural, non-GMO and non-Soy supplements and vitamins in Liposomal liquid form, along with organically grown herbal products.
