Most summer skincare advice stops at what you put on your skin — but the damage that ages the skin happens inside the cell.

The sunscreen conversation nobody finishes

There's a version of the summer skin conversation that's almost entirely about what you apply: SPF, serums, moisturiser. 'Layer it right and you'll be fine' they say.

That's not quite how skin biology works. The things that drive visible skin ageing — collagen breakdown, free radical accumulation, cell membrane degradation, impaired cellular repair — happen inside the cell. Topical products can protect and hydrate at the surface, but they cannot reach the mitochondria, synthesise collagen from the outside in, or replenish the cellular antioxidant reserves that UV exposure depletes hour by hour.

What you take internally can.

And summer — with its higher UV load, more time outdoors, and the oxidative stress that comes with both — is exactly when the internal side of the equation matters most.

What summer actually does to your skin

Ultraviolet radiation generates free radicals in skin tissue. These free radicals then attack lipids, proteins, and DNA in skin cells: they break down collagen, damage cell membranes, and trigger inflammatory pathways that accelerate visible ageing. UVA rays — the ones that penetrate deeper and aren't blocked by most sunscreens — are the primary driver of photoageing: the fine lines, loss of elasticity, pigmentation changes, and texture issues that accumulate with years of sun exposure.

Your body has its own antioxidant defence system to counter this. Glutathione, vitamin C, and other internal antioxidants work continuously to neutralise free radicals before they cause structural damage. The problem is that these defences are depleted by UV exposure exactly when they are needed the most — and they decline naturally with age. By your thirties and forties, the gap between free radical load and antioxidant capacity is widening every summer.

UV radiation depletes the body's internal antioxidant reserves at the same time that it generates the free radicals those same reserves are needed to neutralise. Supporting those reserves from the inside is not optional — it's the end goal.

The five-ingredient approach

Our Skin Care bundles were built around compounds that each address a different part of the internal skin health equation. Together they cover the full mechanism — from antioxidant protection to collagen synthesis to cell membrane integrity to cellular repair.

Ingredient What it does
Glutathione The body's master antioxidant. Neutralises free radicals before they damage skin cells, collagen fibres, and DNA. Glutathione levels decline with age and UV exposure — precisely when skin needs them most.
Vitamin C An indispensable co-factor for collagen synthesis: it is required to hydroxylate proline and lysine, the amino acids that give collagen its structural strength. It also helps neutralise UV-generated free radicals in skin tissue.
Vitamin D3 Supports skin cell growth, repair, and metabolism. Vitamin D receptors are present throughout skin tissue; deficiency is associated with impaired wound healing, increased inflammation, and accelerated cellular ageing.
CoQ10 A lipid-soluble antioxidant and the spark for mitochondrial energy (ATP) production in every skin cell. Skin CoQ10 levels fall with age, leaving cells with less energy and less antioxidant capacity exactly where UV exposure is highest. Supplementing helps replenish both.
Sacha Inchi Exceptionally rich in omega-3 fatty acids (ALA), structural components of cell membranes throughout the skin. Omega-3s support barrier function — locking in moisture, moderating oil production, and protecting against environmental irritants.

This isn't five ingredients doing the same thing with slightly different names. Each works through a distinct mechanism. Together, the coverage is comprehensive in a way that no single supplement — however good — can achieve.

Clinical context

The case for supporting skin from the inside rests on established physiology. Vitamin C is required for collagen synthesis and contributes to antioxidant protection against UV-induced photodamage (Pullar et al., 2017). In a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, oral glutathione influenced skin properties including wrinkling and elasticity (Weschawalit et al., 2017). In a randomised, placebo-controlled trial, twelve weeks of oral CoQ10 reduced visible wrinkles and microrelief lines and improved skin smoothness (Žmitek et al., 2017). Vitamin D receptors are present throughout skin tissue, where vitamin D regulates keratinocyte proliferation, differentiation, and barrier formation (Bikle, 2012). And omega-3 fatty acids show photoprotective and barrier-supporting actions in skin (Pilkington et al., 2011).

The ULTIMATE and PREMIUM bundles

The ULTIMATE Skin Care bundle combines all five ingredients above — Liposomal Glutathione, Liposomal Vitamin C with Glutathione, Liposomal D3+K2, Liposomal CoQ10 capsules, and Sacha Inchi capsules — with significant discounts available (see available promotions).

The PREMIUM Skin Care bundle is a four-product option: Liposomal Vitamin C, Liposomal Glutathione, Turmeric (a potent anti-inflammatory), and Sacha Inchi capsules. It covers the antioxidant and barrier foundations of the protocol.

Both bundles lean on liposomal delivery which matters here for the same reason it matters across the range: the bioavailability of conventional supplements is limited by poor solubility and gut degradation. Liposomal encapsulation bypasses both.

The point is simple: topical care protects the surface; what you take protects the cell.

A note on Sacha Inchi

If you'd prefer to start with a single product, Sacha Inchi is worth particular attention this summer. Cold-pressed from seeds grown in Thailand, it has one of the highest omega-3 (ALA) concentrations of any plant oil, with a favourable omega-3 to omega-6 ratio.

As a structural component of cell membranes, omega-3s support the skin's barrier function directly: moisture retention, oil balance, and resistance to environmental irritants. It's also one of the better plant-based omega-3 options for anyone who doesn't eat oily fish.
